1949 chevrolet custom pickup this is an absolutely gorgeous custom street rod pickup. There is something about the lines on a '49 chevy that are just perfect for a streetrod and this one hits the ball out of the park. The engine is a fresh 350 chevy crate engine, with plenty of chrome, tied into a 350 turbo automatic transmission. Chrome edelbrock valve covers complete the look in the meticulously done engine bay. There are less than 300 miles on the truck since the finish of the rebuild. American racing torq thrust wheels with like new high performance radial tires. It is geared just right for optimum power and comfort at higher cruising speeds. The exterior was done to bare metal, fully hand sanded and painted to absolute show-winning quality in creamsicle orange with 3 coats of base, 3 mid-coats of pearl and three additional coats of clear. The truck absolutely gleams even on the cloudiest of days. It truly makes for a stunning display lit up at night. All of the chrome is absolutely perfect from front to back and the custom wood lined bed has been immaculately stained. The interior is as exceptional as the exterior with 70's era leather seats from oldsmobile, customized kick panels and a wood accented center console with built-in cup holders. Screen and is fully bluetooth enabled with nice sound for cruising. The truck is like new is every way and runs and drives the same. There truly has been attention paid to every detail on the truck to make it the one-of-a-kind vehicle it is. This recently completed build is being offered for $39,900. 00! This was the second generation of the c/k line which are still very sought after classics. This was a special package that incorporated other features including a stronger suspension. It has been kept all original and currently shows 44,457 miles. Unfortunately the miles have not been documented but based on the condition of the original components on this truck and the history we do know, we suspect that it has not rolled over and those are indeed the actual miles. The truck was sold out of canada and still wears the original gsl chevrolet emblems on the hood which were from the dealership. It is coated in the factory red/orange with white two tone paint job and despite its age still has a good shine. The original trim with woodgrain is all mounted in place and in good shape. All of the exterior electrical is working properly including the running lights mounted to the roof. The original style wheels and beauty rings are in place with chevrolet center caps. Powering the truck down the road is the original 396v8 that was rebuilt 5,000 mile ago in 1997 which is attached to the original turbo hydra-matic transmission. The engine has the original factory look with most components coated in black or chevrolet orange. It is fitted with the factory power brakes and power steering making it a very comfortable driver. It came with 2 gas tanks which are still there with filler doors on each side. There are no known mechanical issues and the truck runs down the road well. The interior is the original saddle brown upholstery with bench seat. The dash is painted the same color as the body and is topped with all of the factory components. All of the gauges, knobs, switches work well and are all there. Even the original push button radio is in place.
